The Fleet Trust Board loses Five members

There have been numerous changes at Ebbsfleet United Football Club recently, but I now understand that changes have also occurred at the Fleet Trust with the resignations of five Board members.

Four members (a third of the Board) resigned with immediate effect following the Trust Board meeting that took place on Wednesday of this week, and that follows on from a resignation that occurred earlier in August, which makes five in one month. I understand that all five had been unhappy for a number of months with the way the Board was operating.

Things came to a head on Wednesday when, following a number of discussions that occurred during the meeting, four well known Trust members (including the Vice Chair and the Membership Secretary) tendered their resignations after they decided their positions had become untenable. One of those who resigned had this to say: "Although we no longer feel able to be a part of the Fleet Trust Board, we wish the Board every success in the future".

I also understand that further changes to the structure and operation of the Fleet Trust Board are taking place, including Chris Pilkington becoming the new Chair to replace Graham McQueen, as a result of Wednesday's meeting.
